Dublin Bus Football Academy

n behalf of the League and the Academy staff we welcome you to the Academy. We congratulate you on this success and hope that you will enjoy the season ahead. The NDSL is the premier academy in the country and the first established. A fact we are very proud of and will always defend. A copy of the Academy Handbook is available on www.ndsl.ie which should be read. Over the year the Academy staff wishes to get to know you better and hope that you will play an active role with them in your development.

Our Sports Therapist, Lindsay, is again with us this season and players are reminded that as Academy players any injury received while playing for NDSL, club or school should be reported to your Coach and if necessary to Lindsay. Lindsay will generally be in attendance at the Academy on Monday evenings 6.30pm to 8.30pm and by appointment. Lindsay may be contacted at 087/2061343 to make an appointment or through your squad coach.

The NDSL Football Academy is a member of the FAI Emerging Talent Programme and we are delighted to announce that already this season an increased number of our players have received the call to join the Regional Development Squads. We are also in a partnership with Sporting Fingal F.C. from the Eircom League and this has already resulted in players from the Academy playing for them at Senior and Under 20 levels. This is a fine pathway for our players who wish to advance to national level and beyond.

There are ten new players added to last season’s successful Kennedy Cup squad. We are expecting that we will receive an invitation to participate in the 28th Edition of the NI Milk Cup in July.

This squad kicks off the Euro Tab Inter-League group at home to NECSL next Friday 13th November KO 8.00pm. We would appreciate all support.

It is the time of the season when the majority of our Academy panels are selected and put in place to face the months of hard work ahead. To the players who have not made the cut we express the wish that they continue to work on their game and come back to us again in the future. To the players who have been selected o
