Gents , i started a post on this sort of thing recently ,referees, managers, parents , different people guilty at different times, but at the end of the day its ssg and its ridiculous- i dont know what happened at this match in question , was the referee an official ddsl ref or a referee appointed by the home club (parent/coach etc) either way its unfair to abuse the ref , in my opinion its ok to question the referee. and if he is clearly a "biased " ref , then take your team off the pitch and leave the ground and report the issue to the league , fair play to the referee for walking off , its not fair to take the abuse! the more reports the league get the the quicker something will be done about this,at the end of the day , its the manager /coaches role to run his side how he sees fit that includes managing his players ,staff and parents, there should be only 1 voice on each sideline thats allowed communicate with the referee , not 50 voices each site , all shouting abuse and arguing while 8,9 and 10 year olds watch on ! what example does this set?? repeat abusive managers should be reported to the league . Also repeat offending clubs (appointing dodgey referees to look after games) should be reported because this definitly goes on , i have witnessed it , also repeat problem fans ,parents etc (abusive) should be reported to the leagues, im not sure if the 3 posters are involved with lourdes , i imagine they are but i think all problems should be reported to the league , people should not be reporting detailed descritpions on this site ("the fat one "). In my opinion , the book stops with the league and i blame them , as ive stated in my previous topic, if we want to play and preach about developing youngsters , then the league should not try to promote this "development" & "fair system" and then offer 3 points for wins , medals and trophies for ssg ! thats were the problem stems , this encourages clubs ,managers, coaches and parents to become ultra competetive and things often get out of hand and thats when abuse starts , so far its only vocal abuse, we need to change before it becomes physical! but all the aforementioned are guilty at various times!!
