Personally I think Futsal is a great idea, especially for younger players. Statistics show that in a 40 minute Futsal game aplayer will touch the ball on average every 29.5 seconds. Over a 40 minute game this means 80 to 90 times the player willbe in possession of the ball. By comparison in a 90 minute game, on average a player will usually only have possession 30 to40 times. It also helps develop technical skills, due to the reduced bounce of the ball, leading to the players having to playalong the ground in order to achieve a positive result. As I'm sure you will know by now, I'm a big fan of futsal.I would like to know other people's opinions on this form of football.

wenger i know the kids get plenty of touches and that is good , a good futsal player does not really make a good 11a-side player , i know some of the best players in the world played it as some stage in their lives , it is a close control sport but the 11a-side is really a lot different and a player must have a lot more atrubutes to survive on the big stage , so im not knocking it i think its good but not the answer to schoolboy football . but it is open to everyone to but there opinion out there .

Yeah Larry I totally agree with you. But I think if a young player, say Under 10 or Under 9 competes in futsal through winter and summer breaks,it could really benefit them, I could only see it being of benefit and can't think of any possible negative impacts once it is donethrough breaks.

futsal is a great tool for kids to learn close control, touch, dribbling skills ,passing gives kids more time on ball and encourages proper tecnical development.how we love to see footballers to be confident and composed on the football this game encourages that short quick passing of the ball is the order of the day in futsal and this can only benifit football on grass. we all love watching the likes of barcelona and arsenal the way they play football well the kids will learn that from futsal.
