I'm looking after a team that have been very successful in NDSL over last 4-5 years. Lads are looking for a new challenge by moving to DDSL but apparently there is a criteria whereby the club applying to enter DDSL must have minimum of 2 teams. Not sure this will happen so my question is has there ever been a situation whereby a DDSL club accepted a complete team from NDSL to play under the DDSL club name?

Can I also ask how long your have been with your Club as you can't be much of a CLUBMAN to look at pulling a complete team out of a Club and move them to another Club. Maybe you have a few really good players that might need to make the step to a higher level but what about the few that wont make the step? after a year or 2 with your new club you will probally ditch them to strenghten your new Club Team if you can keep them together that long. Be a real coach and review the situition with the players and the parents and agree desisions that might be best for the individuals and the team. If you have been as good a Coach as your record states then do whats best for the players, all of them and perhaps put some of your time back into you Club and work within to develop other players.

4.3.3 - I'm afraid our usernames are about the extent of our similarities. You mention the words "Maybe" & "Probably" here, which suggests you are working on assumptions i.e. you don't really know what you are talking about. Anyway I asked a question and was looking for an answer. If I wanted a sermon I would have went to my local priest. BTW, you should educate yourself on the NDSL, plenty of successful teams there over the last several years.

Before giving a reply can you advise on the following. Are you talking about moving your "Team" to a New club and playing under the new Club Name. If so is that club currently in the Desired League. Or are you talking about moving the Team under the same club name as you are currently playing with. For Eg: If you are Woodlawn and you are looking to move DDSL under the Name Woodlawn, they are reluctent to accept only one side. Normally they will refuse 1 Team and will look for a more concrete commitment to the DDSL (ie a few more teams moving over). Even if you decide to move accross and they accept you you will only be offered "A" football as shown by Lakelands this year in the 15 section. If you are woodlawn and decide to play under another clubs heading ie Kevins/Home Farm etc of course the team can be moved out of one club and into another. The clubs above are used for examples only. Hope this helps.
