FORAN MOVE SPECULATION

Crystal Palace, Bolton and Newcastle are all reportedly lining up bids to prise Republic of Ireland Youth international, Richie Foran, away from Carlisle United.

The Dubliner completed his £100,000 move from Shelbourne to the English third division side at the beginning of the season and has already become a massive success, scoring four goals in six games.

However, Carlisle boss, Roddy Collins, is quick to play down the speculation. "This is all standard stuff over here," said the former Bohs Boss. "Bolton and Newcastle have both had representatives at our games recently and made comments about Richie - but that is normal.

"Richie has been brilliant for us and as a result he is going to generate interest, but as far as I'm concerned he is a Carlisle player. I would not have brought him over here just to sell him. He is vital to this team at the moment. But that said, it is not my decision."
