The ceremony, which was held in Ballyfermot Football Club on Saturday, was a huge success according to Orla Creevey, Secretary of the Seven-a-Side.
"It is great to see the kids enjoying themselves. It gives them a day out. Anyone who watches the smaller game, or is involved with it will tell you how refreshing it is. Some of the kids are very talented and it is brilliant to watch," she said.
"The seven-a-side game is vital to the development of Irish soccer and I'm sure the national team will benefit when some of these kids grow up.
"Ideally, we would be prefer for the competitions to be non-competitive, but when there is a trophy at stake, that's exactly what it becomes. But, that said, all you have to do is look at the faces on the kids - they love it," adds Orla.
