KENNEDY REGAINS COUNCIL SEAT

Sligo's Noel Kennedy was offered no resistance as he won back his right to be the Connaught member on the Council of the Football Association of Ireland.

During a specially convened Extraordinary General Meeting, called to clarify who was the correct representative, Kennedy was elected without a vote and unanimous agreement.

The meeting thereby clarified that Pat Quigley, the outgoing President of the F.A.I. can only occupy a seat as an ex officio board member of management as per rule.
