Drogheda Utd DDSL Under 17's Complete Historic Treble

They claimed their most recent victory, the DDSL League title, with two games remaining. The young Drogs completed the final leg of their historic treble this weekend with successive wins on Saturday and Sunday.
Team Manager Darius Kierans was clearly thrilled with the victory. "It's been a long, hard season for us and we didn't have the biggest squad. All our hard work has paid off and now we have reaped the rewards. There are quite a few decent players on the side and hopefully now they can go on and progress further."
He was also quick to acknowledge the people behind the scenes, 'I'd like to thank Trudy and Rory Kerr, along with Olan Flannigan, and the club for supporting us all year, in particular Chris Byrne, Jim McArdle, Vincent Hoey, Ophir Zardok and everyone in the office."
Club Chairman Vincent Hoey has also been singing the praises of the club's rising stars and all involved. "On behalf of all Drogheda United supporters, I want to express our pride in the magnitude of this achievement by our Under 17 youth team in attaining the treble of the three trophies; the League Cup, the F.A.I. Cup and now the League. It is hard to overstate the enormity of this triumph. Our heartiest congratulations to all connected with the team both on and off the field."
