DUBLIN INTERNATIONAL'S SUCCESSFUL END

UNDER 10 FINAL

INSTITUTION 5 TOLKA ROVERS 1

Institution produced a brilliant second half display to see off Dublin giants, Tolka Rovers and capture the Under-10 Cup at the Dublin International Tournament.

However, the Northern Ireland academy, who were making their debut in the competition this year, looked to bin trouble, when Anthony Rock put the Dublin side in front on 15 minutes.

Tolka deserved the goal and could have doubled their lead, when the impressive James McCarthy rattled the cross bar with a shot from 17-yards a minute later.

But within moments of almost extending their lead, the Dubliners found themselves pegged back, thanks to an unfortunate o.g.

Institution, now boosted by their bit of luck, started to express themselves on the game and Eunin O¿Keane added their second a minute from the break.

Rovers made changes in the second half, but they seemed unable to recover from their poor luck in the opening period and found themselves further behind within minutes of the kick off.

Martin Kelly took advantage of some slack defending, before slotting the ball passed the Rovers keeper. O¿Keane rounded off a hat-trick with two more goals, later in the half to give the Ulster side a 5-1 victory.

UNDER 11 CUP FINAL

SHELBOURNE 1 LOURDES 1

(Lourdes won 3-1 on pens)

Goalkeeping hero, Paul Skinner, produce three brillant penalty saves to give Lourdes Celtic victory over Shelbourne to capture the Under-11 Cup Final a the Dublin International Tournamet.

It was a match tipped to be the game of the tourmanent, and by the time it was finished their was there were few on the sideline who could argue that it wasn¿t.

An early striker by Joseph Glynn gave Celtic the lead and looked to be enough to give them the win.

However, Shelbourne are one of the top schoolboy clubs in the country and have impressed throughout the tournament, so it was no surprise when John Muldune equalized for the North Dublin side.

That proved to be the last goal in normal time and set the stage for Skinner to show his heroics.

UNDER 12 CUP FINAL

LEICESTER CITY 1 SHELBOURNE 2

Shelbourne coaches came to the Dublin International Tourmament, with two teams, who they boasted would win their respective age groups.

Earlier in the day they has to watch their Undedr-11 side agonisingly lose on penalties to Lourdes Celtic, but the Under-12 side made sure there would be no repeat.

The North Dublin club had their work cut out for them against a glitzy Leicester City, who had impressed all tournament with their intelligent football and clinical finishing.

But goals from Gareth Edwards, Eoin Doyle and Mark Byrne put the game passed their English opponents and ensured that Shels would be returning to Dublin with at least one winners trophy.

Patrick Bonner did score a consolation goal for City on the stroke off full-time but it did little to change the scoreline.
