"You have no idea how delighted I am to be back in the squad," said McGibbon.
"Now that I'm here I want to grab my chance and I still believe I can make a contribution to Northern Ireland.
"I've had to pull out so many times through injury and that is not going to happen this time. I'm back fit and playing regularly for Wigan.
"One of the great difficulties for me is the fact I'm trying to challenge for an international place with a Second Division club instead of a Premier League or First Division side".
