A2Zsoccer will be out and about this weekend, covering some intriguing schoolboy and junior ties.
First up on Saturday is the clash of Athboy Celtic and Howth Celtic at the Convent of Mercy Ground,(12.00). Athboy demolished Northside Blues in their last outing and will be confident of victory in this Troy Cup contest.
Particularly impressive for the Meath outfit last weekend, was the performance of Mark Swain who managed to score a highly impressive five goals.
Meanwhile, another player who grabbed the headlines was Sean Smith who struck a hat-trick.
We then make the hop over to check on the junior fortunes of Navan Cosmos and Agher, who go head to head in the premier C Meath District League. That game kicks off at 4.30
On Sunday, both Clontarf and Dunshaughlin youths will be hoping to put indifferent starts to the league behind them when they meet in the first round of the U12 Norton Cup.
In the same competition, Vianney Boys, who have got their league campaign off to a flier, will be favourites to progress when they take on Raheny United at St Anne's Park.
