UCD 2 DUNDALK 1

UCD have moved up to seventh in the eircom league following a 2-1 victory over Dundalk on Thursday night.

Robert Martin opened the scoring for the Students after 19 minutes, when he fired past David Crawley in the visitor's goal.

Paul Doolin's side doubled their advantage in the 50th minute when Robert Martin's brother John found the net.

Chris Lawless grabbed a consolation in the final minute, but it was too little, too late for the Louth side.

Derry City are now second in the premier league after a fine 1-0 win over Bohemians.

The win came courtesy of a late strike from Jamie Hughes, who found the net with a brilliant effort.

The Gypsies desperately tried to grab a late equaliser but the Candystripes held on for all three points.
