Waterford v Dundalk

19 June 2008

The sides, currently separated by four points in what is fast becoming a three-horse race for the title, will both be hoping to close the gap on leaders Shelbourne, who don't play in Longford until 24 hours later.
Dundalk will have to plan without suspended pair, goalkeeper Chris Bennion and defender David Crawley. Bennion is serving an automatic one-match ban for his sending-off in the Lilywhites' last league outing against Fingal, while Crawley sits out having reached four penalty points. On the plus side, back-up netminder Aaron Shanahan is back in contention for a starting slot, while Morgan Cranley is also available to line-out between the sticks. Right-back John Flanagan has returned to training following a successful operation on his ankle, however, this match may come too soon for the 30-year-old.
