Mt Merrion Youths FC and UCD have joined forces to become one of the leading lights in South Sublin soccer.Mount Merrion Youths Football Club has entered into an exclusive cooperation agreement with local Eircom League club UCD. Under this agreement, both clubs will work closely together to promote the development of soccer in the local area and to assist each other in whatever way possible. Currently two ex Mount Merrion players are in the UCD squad - Fran Moran and Evan McMillan.
Mt Merrion Youths Football Club is a community soccer club based in South County Dublin catering for players in the age groups from Under 7 to Under 18. The club's teams play in the Dublin District Schoolboys League and the South Dublin Schoolboys League. Additionally the club took a proud step at the commencement of the 2006 season when it fielded its' first girls team, at Under 12 age level.
They are currently seeking new players for all age groups but are particularly interested in hearing from any Goalkeepers out there who would like to play for their U11 Premier DDSL team next season,you can contact Declan Goulding on 087-2517161 for more info.
The club was formed in 1973, following the establishment of a local team to compete in the Community Games. Since then the club has grown and we now field in excess of 30 teams every week. The club runs a soccer academy during the year catering for for children aged of 4 to 7. In total, sporting opportunities are provided for over 450 children, on a year-round basis.
The club plays its' home games at two locations:
St Raphaela's School, Stillorgan - for all 7 & 9-a-side fixtures. Deerpark, Mount Merrion - for all 11a-side fixtures.
