Charlton have appointed former Crystal Palace boss Iain Dowie as their new manager.
The 41-year-old will lead a new management team, with Les Reed returning to the Valley to work as assistant manager.
His decision to join the Addicks is sure to infuriate Palace chairman Simon Jordan after Dowie stated he was leaving Shelhurst Park to be closer to his family in the north of England.
"The easy thing would have been not to come here," said Dowie. "I've taken what is a fantastic opportunity for me."
