Figo cleared to play England

Portugal captain Figo will be available to face England after avoiding punishment for an incident involving Holland midfielder Mark van Bommel.

The Inter Milan clubman appeared to heabutt van Bommel during his country's 1-0 win over Marco van Basten's side in Nuremberg on Sunday.

Figo received a yellow card for the incident but was expected to receive further punishment from Fifa for the offence.

However, Fifa have confirmed the player will not be receiving a stiffer punishment and will be clear to face England.
