Middlesbrough boss Steve McLaren is confident Mark Schwarzer will be fit in time for the Uefa Cup final showdown with Sevilla.
The Australian international suffered a broken cheekbone in the club's FA Cup semi final defeat to West Ham and was a major doubt ahead of the trip to Eindhoven.
However, Schwarzer is ready to wear a protective mask in order to start in Wednesday's clash.
"I'm very hopeful Mark will be there for the final, he's a strong lad," said McClaren.
"When he got the injury against West Ham in the semi-final we knew it would be touch and go.
"But I should think Mark will make it, which is great news."
