Mark Viduka has been ruled out of Middlesbrough's Uefa Cup semi-final first leg clash with Steaua Bucharest.
The Australian has suffered a thigh injury but is expected to be available for Sunday's FA Cup semi final meeting with West Ham.
Viduka, who has scored seven goals in his last 11 games, has not travelled with the rest of the Boro squad, who flew out to the Romanian capital on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Malcolm Christie returns to the squad after enduring a lengthy spell out through injury.
