RIOTS IN GERMANY

22 Supporters were arrested and two policemen injured as violence flared following a local derby match in West Berlin.

The game between Hertha Berlin and the Hamburg club does not have a history of violence and caught the local people and the police force by surprise.

Around 250 Hertha Berlin supporters seemed to be angling for trouble and started fighting soon after the match was finished.

200 policemen were drafted in to try and maintain peace in the city. Hertha supporters are fast developing a reputation for trouble and a leaning to right wing right-wing politics
